About SoCoVA

At Sonoma County Virtual Academy (SoCoVA), we are dedicated to providing a dynamic and innovative online learning experience for students in grades 6-12. Our mission is to empower students with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to thrive in an ever-evolving global landscape.

We are committed to fostering a virtual learning environment that promotes academic excellence, personal growth, and a sense of community. By leveraging cutting-edge technology and embracing diverse teaching methodologies, we aim to inspire a lifelong love of learning and prepare our students to meet the challenges of the future.

In addition, being a part of a brick-and-mortar school district (from the Windsor Unified School District) means that SoCoVA students have opportunities often missing from traditional online education, such as attending games and events, participating in sports and clubs, enjoying traditional experiences like Prom or Homecoming, and other rights of passage. Being part of a local school district ensures adherence to state educational standards and policies, giving parents peace of mind regarding the quality of the education their children are receiving.

Sonoma County Virtual Academy (SoCoVA) is more than a school; it's a virtual hub for exploration, discovery, and growth. At the heart of our mission is the belief that every student is unique, with individual strengths and aspirations. We strive to create a flexible and personalized educational journey that caters to the diverse needs of our students.
